Sima’s story began with the visionary Elsayed El-Fendi, a pioneer in Egypt’s confectionery industry. Founded in 1961, Sima started as a small operation producing handmade boiled sweets, supported by a dedicated team of five staff members and a single delivery vehicle.
Through relentless hard work and dedication, El-Fendi expanded Sima’s production capacity, establishing three factories in Cairo and the 10th of Ramadan City. By importing state-of-the-art machinery and production lines from Germany, Sima gradually increased its output to over 20,000 tons of high-quality candy, toffee, chocolates, gum, wafers, and lollipops, serving Egypt and the MENA region.
Sima’s remarkable growth over the decades is a testament to the El-Fendi family’s commitment to product innovation. This dedication led to the creation of renowned brands such as S&S, Sima Boom, Chocofun, and Bonbon Sima. The creativity behind these brands sets Sima apart from competitors, solidifying its position at the forefront of Egypt’s confectionery sector.
